Experience

When you get out there your senses are stimulated and your body takes it all in. The wilderness is alive! Riding the scenic trails is only a part of the rich experience you'll have on your trip. Living history, sights, sounds and socializing also enhance what the area has to offer.

There's also the little extras we offer — interpretation of natural history and ecology, impressive meal presentation, kids activities on family trips — that make the Holiday a singular experience.

Expert Guides

You will be well taken care of. Our guides are the best in the business; all are trained in backcountry safety and first-aid. They're exciting individuals, experts in everything from adjusting a derailleur to sharing a good story. They take having fun seriously and will inform, entertain and engage you in a variety of ways. They'll also show you their favorite places...a short walk down a slot canyon to a magic world of wavey rock... a view from a cliff overlooking what seems to be the entire world...sleeping under the stars miles from anywhere.

Our operations staff is seasoned and steadfast, a rarity among seasonal outfitting businesses. Several of our trip leaders, like Tilts and Nate, have been around for almost as long as we’ve been in the mountain bike business!

Get to know our guides, and they can show you a world you've never seen...

Impeccable Gear

Guided Bike Tours On our trips, our bikes and four-wheel-drive support van are the key to a fun and comfortable trip. Both offer conveyance into otherwise unapproachable wilderness, so we make sure all of our equipment is in tip-top, worry-free shape. On most trips, our guests rarely recognize how clean and well packed our vans are. That's good! It's when things break, malfunction or fall apart that people notice. Keeping our gear in impeccable shape avoids those inconvenient situations.

Bikes

The bikes are by Specialized a leader in the mountain bike industry. Our in-house bike mechanic keeps our bikes in prime working order ready for you to jump on and go. Routine maintenance and quality bikes make for a great riding experience.

If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your own bike on our trips.

Camping Gear

Off the trail, it's nice to know you've got a comfortable bed waiting for you. You’re welcome to bring your own camping gear or rent gear from us. Our camping equipment is tried and true for Utah’s backcountry conditions. Inch-and-a-half thick air- and foam-filled sleeping mats, we call "Paco Pads"; clean and comfortable sleeping bags and trustworthy and rain-proof tents make the camping portion of your trip that much more enjoyable.

Clean dry bags are provided for each guest to put clothes and sleeping bag in. A smaller dry bag is provided as a day bag that is easy accessible from the van throughout the day. Riding inside our van support vehicle also helps keep your personals dry and dust free.

Vans

On the way to the trail is an exciting time, you're anxious to begin the adventure. To make sure you get there in comfort and on-time, we have a fleet of well-maintained Ford passenger vans to haul you and your gear to the starting point. At the end of the trip, our friendly drivers and comfortable vans greet you to return you to our headquarters.

During your mountain bike trip, our specially outfitted four-wheel-drive Ford vans haul your gear, food, water and cushy camping accoutrements, so you can enjoy your ride. The Holiday design is the perfect marriage of utility and security...it is a Holiday exclusive, without equal in the industry. The van keeps your gear clean and dry. Inside a Holiday-designed water tank ensures you have enough water for drinking and delightful "solar showers”, that are camp luxury at the end of a great day of riding.

The Feast

The Feasts There’s no better ending to a big day of riding, than a fulfilling, delicious meal. Our guides take as much pride in their meal preparation and presentation as they do in their bike tuning. Everything is fresh, natural, and delicious. Sue Holladay brings 35 years of backcountry cooking experience to the menus that can accommodate everyone's tastes or dietary needs. Our guides turn the recipes into "to die for" dishes that you'll be longing for when you return home.

Every morning, our guides rise early to brew fresh hot coffee and prepare a hot breakfast made-to-order omelettes, fresh blueberry pancakes or other great morning starters that will fuel your trail power. Lunches are served trail side, deli style with plenty of nutrition to keep you going.

In the evening, freshly made appetizers lead into delicious camp dinners prepared with either dutch-oven mastery or camp culinary expertise. All you have to do is sit back and eat...go on, have some more!

Holiday Guests
A great gathering of couples, singles and groups of friends and colleagues come from across the US and around the world to play with us. Some come for Utah’s technically challenging rides, others join us for a more relaxed tour of Utah’s red rock country. All of them come for our quality trips founded on fun, comfort, great service, amazing scenery and delicious food.

Maybe that's why more than 65 percent of our guests come back year after year or are referred to us by our guests!
