Trip sizes generally are limited to 25 people. Bike tripsMountain bike trips are offered along the high-desert slickrock of Canyonlands National Park, where you will have time to wander through the intricate chutes of "The Maze" and gaze at Anasazi petroglyphs, and along the rim of the Yampa River gorge in Dinosaur National Monument. Combo trips.Bike-raft combination trips vary from two days of cycling near Moab and two days river rafting in Westwater Canyon to three days of cycling in Canyonlands National Park and four days on the Green and Colorado rivers. Guides are handpicked and trained by Dee Holladay. Licensed by the states of Utah and Idaho, guides also are trained by Holiday in wilderness first aid, river safety and rescue techniques, and interpretation. EquipmentDepending on the river, Holiday uses either 17-foot-long boats that seat five or six guests and are powered by the guide's oars or 15-foot-long boats that the guide and five or six guests power with paddles. Inflatable kayaks also are available on some trips. Wetsuits and helmets are provided on some trips, while tents and sleeping bags may be rented. Meals Holiday prides itself on serving a delicious menu of fresh foods. Meals range from dinners of steaks, fish or stir-fry dishes to breakfasts of omelets, cereals and flapjacks. Lunches center around cold cuts, salads and fresh fruits.
